After 6 years at New Stone today is my last day...quite a long time. I’d like to thank Roger and the whole New Stone team for giving me the chance to work for so many years in the company.

 

I will start my new job as a barge operator at Petroplus in Zug on the 1st April. I’m pretty sure and I hope I will be in contact with some of you guys in the future again. Dear Business Associate 

It is few weeks down the road since our announcement about our new brokering office in Singapore. It is now my great pleasure to introduce our broking team as a whole.

 

We have further strengthened our team with the arrival of Eugene Tay who will be working alongside Wendy Guo and me as physical gasoline blend stocks broker in our Singapore office. Eugene joins us from PVM Oil Associates where he acted as Manager Ship Broker. In total he has over 7 years of experience in broking, mainly as a paper broker for fuel oil and also 11 years of experience as a Foreign Exchange trader in various assignments. His valuable commercial experience will help us to enhance our services further.

 

We intend to assign specific product groups and geographical areas to each team member in order to best assist you with your daily challenges. This project will be completed over the next couple of months and we will advise on any further organizational changes.

 

With the team in place, we also intend to extend our worldwide coverage between our offices in order to provide you with a global service on all products concerned.

Brokerage New Stone to specialize in gasoline blendstocks in Asia

 

Switzerland-based oil and petrochemical brokerage New Stone Ltd. plans to specialize in gasoline blendstocks when it opens shop in Singapore next month, the company's Asian office managing director Dieter Krumbach said Tuesday.

 

The company will look at all products that go "into gasoline", with the focus initially on MTBE. The company is well established in Europe, after setting up shop there in 2001, and focuses on brokerage services for gasoline blendstocks and petrochemicals.

 

The Asian market has petrochemical brokerages as well as oil brokerages, but few focus on the gasoline blendstocks market, Krumbach said. The company will consider moving into products like ETBE, methanol, bioethanol and biodiesel in the future, he said.

 

Dieter Krumbach has 15 years of experience in these markets as a producer, trader as well as broker. He worked with European producer Lyondell as well as trading firms Vitol and Trafigura earlier. New Stone is also looking at establishing an office in Dubai by the middle of 2010, he said.

 

The company, headquartered in Switzerland, currently has nine people working globally. With the opening of the new office in Singapore, the company will increase staff to 11 by early Q1 2010, he added.
